This is a 2017 DeMarini CF Zen Composite baseball bat, USSSA certified with a -5 drop weight ratio, measuring 31 inches long and weighing 26 ounces. The 2 5/8” barrel is made from composite material, which helps reduce vibration and hand sting on off-center hits while providing a balanced swing weight. The CF Zen is designed for young players active in kid pitch leagues, focusing on smooth swing mechanics and a good combination of power and control. This bat is best suited for players aged 9 to 13 who are stepping up from tee-ball or coach pitch to kid pitch baseball. The -5 drop and 31-inch length accommodate players transitioning to heavier bats that still allow for quick swing speeds. It’s a good match for hitters who prioritize both bat control and pop at the plate. The bat is used but remains functional for training or game use.

Perfect bat for:

Hitters hunting a used two-piece composite with a fast swing and a known hot barrel.

The DeMarini CF Zen is a discontinued two-piece composite bat with a fast, balanced swing. DeMarini used the CF Zen name from 2017 to 2021, then shortened it to CF. A Paraflex Plus composite barrel gives a large, responsive sweet spot. A 3-Fusion connection cuts vibration and sends energy back to the barrel. Early CF Zens hit hot but cracked, so DeMarini stiffened later ones.
