Found this 6-finger Empire T-910 trapeze glove at an antique store in the Berkshires while on vacation. I had never done a trapeze webbing so I grabbed it. The leather was in ROUGH shape, as in I could barely bend it and my son joked it was so hard you could use it as a weapon. I gave it 3 rounds of cleaning, conditioning, oil, and mallet work and you can see how the color has come back and the leather softened. I can't find much on the history of the glove online, but it seems Empire gloves were part of Ashland Manufacturing which eventually became part of Wilson, made in Chicago. Best guess this glove is from the early 60s. If you're a lefty and you want a cool glove with some history, here's your chance.
