The ECD Weapon X faceoff head, designed in partnership with Greg "Beast" Gurenlian, features a proprietary FlexForm material for strength and flexibility. There is strategically placed flex points for enhanced responsiveness and a short throat for improved leverage and control. With various iterations like the Weapon X Pro and custom options, it remains a leading choice in the faceoff world.
The Weapon X was made to compete with the Nike CEO line and is popular amongst faceoff guys throughout college. The idea is that it will flex the same every single time. So, it won't flex a little bit lower; it won't flex a little bit higher. It will flex in the same spot, holding the same shape with its warp resistance technology. The throat of the head was made to be as pinched as possible without becoming illegal, so right around that 3” requirement.

The Nike CEO Lacrosse Head is a top performer for midfielders, featuring a shortened throat for enhanced power and control during draws, an aggressive scoop for quick ground ball pickups, and a zero-friction design for rapid reactions. Originally focused on offensive sticks, Nike's CEO series quickly became recognized for its face-off capabilities, showcasing the brand's dedication to all aspects of the game.
The Nike CEO is the first generation of the CEO line that Nike came out with. The design gave faceoffs a whole new perspective of the game because the head is really flexible. You can do a lot with it. And it will continuously hold its shape. The head allows you to define how you want to take a face-off. If you're more of a player who wants to pinch the ball and pop it out backward to your wing, then you'd have the ability to do that because the Nike CEO is strong and flexible enough to get that angle and pop. Also, it's a great head for picking up the ground ball from any angle.

The Burn Fo lacrosse head is designed and engineered asymmetrically to provide a balance of flex, strength, and recovery. Its universal pinch design accommodates multiple face-off styles, including traditional and face-flex. The flexible left sidewall allows players to gain position and control in 50/50 battles.
Maverik's Tactik 2.0 Lacrosse Head is ideal for offensive midfielders. Featuring updated Control Core technology, it offers a lightweight and stiff design for excellent ball control in cradling, passing, and shooting. Its redesigned scoop with "Ground Control" technology enhances groundball pickup, making it a versatile tool for transitions and dominant play.
After buying a Maverik Tactik 2.0 for my son's middie stick, I bought another one to upgrade my coaching stick. It's easy to string and adjust. It's also light and strong. Both heads have even held up in the bitter Northern New York cold! I can't recommend the Tactik 2.0 enough.

The STX Stallion Lacrosse Head, launched in 2005 by NCAA champion Kyle Harrison, has a history of midfield excellence. Evolving through models like the 700, 900, and 1K, it caters to various playing styles. Key features include the durable EnduraForm material, strategically placed holes, and a pocket design focused on control.
The Stallion is great. We have a couple of family members who play different positions. With this head, we have strung it for attack and, more recently, restrung it for a D-Mid. Both positions have different pocket needs, and it was easy to adapt the sidewall stringing for both of what they were looking for.

The Nike CEO 2 enhances the original design for faceoff midfielders and offensive players. Nike focused on creating a more aggressive head to dominate offense and faceoffs. It features a shortened throat for better hand placement, an aggressive scoop for easier ground ball pickups, and a high-pinch profile for accurate passes and shots.
With the CEO 2, Nike tried to step up the model slightly. They made the plastic more durable, so it would rebound a bit easier and hold its shape better than its predecessor. They reworked the scoop so you could win it forward to yourself more easily. They reworked the throat of the head so you could pinch and pop it backward without the head pinching too much. It's a head made for a faceoff guy.
