Players who specialize in winning the face-off and seek a balance of flexibility and stiffness.

Key features include:

Higher flare and straighter sidewall for more control.
Angled scoop for attacking a loose ball from any angle.
Locking bolt installation.
Self-tapping screw installation.

Top Competitors

Designed specifically for face-offs, the StringKing Mark 2F prioritizes control and ground ball dominance over the more versatile options like the Weapon X and Nike CEO 2. While the Weapon X and CEO 2 cater to various offensive midfield positions, the Mark 2F's stiffer construction and angled scoop excel at securing ground balls and winning face-offs. The Mark 2F's shorter throat also allows for increased leverage and better control during face-off battles. However, this specialization comes at the cost of versatility, as the Mark 2F's stiff pocket and design may not be ideal for other playing styles that require a wider range of motion and pocket flexibility.

Progression of the StringKing Mark 2F Lacrosse

The StringKing Mark 2F lacrosse head is part of the Mark 2 series, which also includes

Mark 2A: Built for attack.
Mark 2T: Built for transition.
Mark 2D: Built for defense.
Mark 2F: Built for faceoffs.
Mark 2F Stiff: Built stiffer.
Mark 2G: Built for goalies.
Mark 1: Simple. Strong.

👍 Pros
Great faceoff head. Perfect bend (and return to shape), which is a bonus for those who prefer plunges and reverse clamps.
Top-tier FO head, and maintains shape well. Groundball hoover.
Easier to control my exit with the flex point.
👎 Cons
Less stiff than other FO heads, which can cost you.
Shape retention is so good (really) that passing post-exit can be a challenge because head is returning to original shape.
Breaks too easily, imo.
This is the face-off specialist of the Mark 2 family. This head is designed for players wanting the best control and durability. The Mark 2F has a shorter throat to make clamping faster and create a quicker reaction time. StringKing’s new material blends stiffness and flex. The Mark 2F also comes in a stiff version (15% stiffer). The shape retention is significantly better.
