If you want a great bat that can smash singles...don't buy this one. My son used all those up. However, if you're looking for a bat that has all the triples and home runs left in it, well, this is the bat. Unfortunately we didn't use any of those. The past time alloy bat. Pics show most of the wear and tear (if not all).

The connection piece helps absorb mishit balls’ sting and is identical to the one used on the BBCOR CAT 8 Connect.

The first model was a more powerful, higher-performing bat. It has more exit velocity and is a hotter bat than the 2nd gen. Very durable, with very little breakage. Marucci's, across the board, have been good bats in terms of quality; they seem to last. Whether you're a power hitter or a small kid, the CAT9 Composite does very well.
