My son used bay last year in little league. I tried to picture the scratches as best as I could. There is no rattles, no dents, normal wear and tear. The scratches by the end cap came from a broken gate at the field. They do not effect the performance of the bat at all. Great bat, feels great plenty of life left. Thanks for any interest.

But they also tended to break, so DeMarini made them stronger, made them stiffer, made them more durable. And when they did that, the bats didn't hit as well. The early models were better performers than the later models.
