The 1787 pattern is perfect for those players holding down the dirt at shortstop and third base. The glove is 11.75-inches and will give players a quarter-inch of extra length over an 11.5-inch glove. This can be great for shortstops as they are typically asked to cover the most area on the infield (this is as long as the shortstop doesn't think the extra length will throw off their transfers and glove flips).
