Re-laced/reconditioned Rawlings MJ50 catcher’s mitt-33.5 ’ RHT

This is a vintage 1960s Rawlings MJ50 “Elston Howard” catchers mitt. It is 33.5 inches by my measurement, and for a right handed thrower. This was a high quality pro model glove back in its day, with some leather and full leather bindings. These are in very good condition for a 60+ year old glove, so I took it all the way apart, scrubbed clean and conditioned the leather components with Fiebing’s saddle soap, and put it back together with high quality American Made 3/16 leather chestnut saddle lacing. This glove is now ready for play. It could still be used in game competition, but would also be a great addition for a coach or dad the use in the back yard, (maybe if your young player is beginning to throw a bit harder.
