This is a Rawlings American Series 1st base mitt, model # XFG6. Apparently it is pretty rare because I have not been able to find any other American Series gloves. Based on the quality of the leather, this glove appears to be equivalent in quality to Heart of the Hide or Heritage Series gloves that Rawlings puts out. The leather is well conditioned, the lacing is in good shape, and the glove is broken in and ready to go. The hand stall is also in good condition, and there are no tears or significant wearing of the leather. There is one spot where the binding is frayed, but it is small and does not affect the performance of the glove at all. This would be a great addition to any bag, and with a large pocket would be viable for baseball or softball.
