These gently used/like new size 27.5 K2 Recon Team Ski Boots are designed specially for the new generation of hybrid bindings (think Shift and Kingpins), and the new generation of hard-charging freeriders who use them. With an off-the-charts burly 140 flex and no walk mode to get in the way of pure downhill performance, these things are as dialed and responsive as they come. If you’re looking for a downhill-oriented boot that you can use with zero compromise in the resort, and also on short skinners in the vicinity, there’s no option better than the Recon Team. Fit Last: 98 mm – Low volume performance last best suited to those with narrower, low volume feet. Flex Flex: 140 – An exceptionally stiff flex for expert skiers. This amp goes up to 11. Liner Powerfit Pro Liner – Pre-molded and lasted with Ultralon heat-moldable foam. Featuring a stiffer foam and a stiff, asymmetric tongue for added power and energy transmission, pre-molded ankle pockets, and a high-density power collar. Shell Materials & Design Powerlite Shell – K2’s highest performance shell design, utilizing shell walls of varying thickness and four different types of TPU to provide the ultimate combination of light weight and responsiveness. Energy Interlock – A rivet-free technology that integrates the cuff and shell, putting less stress on the boot’s lower shell and producing a smooth, progressive flex. Powerfuse Spyne – A co-injected Y-shaped support in the rear of the boot that adds strength and power to the Energy Interlock in order to maximize fore/aft flex efficiency and lateral stiffness, providing enhanced responsiveness and energy transfer to the ski. Fastfit Instep – Softer TPU material is used in the instep area of select models’ shells for quick and easy entry and exit. Fully Heat-Moldable – Both the boot’s shell and cuff are capable of being heat molded to a variety of foot shapes for a truly custom fit. Pebax Cuff – Lightweight, eco-friendly material used in the cuff of select boot models for energetic and consistent flex across a wide range of temperatures. Power Strap Cam Booster Strap – Booster Straps provide maximum ski boot performance, increased control and shin protecting shock-absorption. Bootboard & Footbed Power Plate Sole GripWalk ISO 23223 Outsoles – Removable and interchangeable rockered soles designed to work with GripWalk binding systems for better grip and comfort while walking, standing, and hiking. Additional Features Integrated Tech Toe Fitting – Tech fittings in the toe are fully integrated into the shell injection, allowing for compatibility with both tech and DIN bindings.
