2019 Men's Tecnica Mach 1 LV Ski Boots, 130 flex, 315mm (Mondo 27.5)

These are the 2019 model of Tecnica's Mach 1 ski boot in low volume (97mm), 130 flex, Mondo size 27.5 (fits US shoe size 9-9.5) in good condition. Take a look around when you are standing in line at the ski lift and notice how many ski instructors are wearing this boot. When I asked them about it, the answer given was: "it is the best boot out there". While the claim may not be substantiated, it is certainly an excellent ski boot. The key feature is the progressive flex; while 130 flex is on the stiff side, you will find that the first few millimeters of flex is actually very soft, and gets progressively stiffer as you get deeper into the flex. Generally, the stiffer the boot, the more responsive it is - and the more unforgiving . This boot will give you the control and comfort to be able to carve lines all day long. The boot is sized in low volume, which is what you want. You may think you have a wide foot like I did, but if you go with a mid volume boot it will be too loose. A ski boot should be very snug, with only room to wiggle your toes. Your heel should never be able to lift even slightly. The key to getting a comfortable and tight fit is the proper insoles for your feet. This boot is ideal for the advanced-intermediate looking to upgrade to a stiffer, more responsive boot. Advanced skiers will immediately appreciate the fit and aggressive stance. Anyone will like the leveraged power strap and buckles that turn out of the way for easy ingress and egress. This boot has never been modified in any way. It shows cosmetic scratches on the shell and sole consistent with two seasons of use. The boot-binding interface areas are absolutely sound and show minimal wear. All buckles and straps are fully functioning. The liner is removable and washable. No insoles are included as these are custom to your foot.
