It usually consists of a 12K carbon fibre construction in the shaft with a 3K carbon fibre blade, though some G3 variations made with 18K carbon fibre do exist. The G3 build is generally seen as the predecessor to the Nexus 1000 stick build, with both being “easy-load” flex profiles, as Bauer described it to their pro athletes at the time. While still highly sought after by collectors and old-school players who fell in love with the build over a decade ago, G3 sticks are rarely still seen at the pro level - especially with so many lighter and more up-to-date mid-kick builds available (ex. 2NPROXL). That being said, some players including Stamkos, Kucherov, and Fiala still swear by the G3 build and still use it to this day.
