Bauer Vapor Hyperlite 2 Hockey Sticks
The Bauer Vapor Hyperlite 2 hockey stick enhances the legacy of the Vapor line, focusing on speed and agility. It is the lightest and most durable version yet, incorporating ACL 2.0 technology for optimized carbon layering, which reduces weight by 25 grams compared to the previous model. This lighter design improves stick handling, shot speed, and maneuverability on the ice.
Key features include:
Low Kick Point | Creates a hyper-responsive stick ideal for powerful, quick, and effortless releases. |
Lightweight Construction with ACL 2.0 Technology | Advanced carbon layering through the shaft and blade to make the stick incredibly lightweight and balanced. |
XE Taper | Uses elliptical geometry with a thinner construction and more rounded edges, making shot releases 10% faster than previous models. |
HyperCore 2 Blade | Rearranges thicker carbon bridges from previous models to create more balance, stability, and pop in each shot. |
Asymmetrical TeXtreme Shaft Technology | Creates a balanced feel and supports a fluid energy transfer throughout the stick. |
Monocomp Technology | A one-piece construction which ensures a consistent composition throughout the stick. |

The Vapor Hyperlite 2 boasts a lightweight build and a true low-kick flex for agility and fast releases, ideal for players who rely on speed and quick hands. However, this lightweight design might raise durability concerns. The Jetspeed FT5 Pro offers a hybrid kick point that blends power with quick releases, making it versatile for various offensive plays. Its pop zone adds power to your shots, but it might not be the lightest option. The Catalyst 9X has a low-kick flex optimized for exceptional puck feel and controlled releases.

- Weight reduction: The Hyperlite 2 shaves 25 grams off its weight, coming in at 360 grams compared to the Hyperlite’s 385 grams.
- Carbon layering: The Hyperlite 2 features Advanced Carbon Layering 2.0 technology, re-engineering the original ACL technology to create even better optimized layers for a stronger, lighter stick.
- Blade core: The new HyperCore 2 blade features thicker, re-engineered carbon bridges to add more stability and snap to shots.

The Hyperlite 2 slaps. This is the most durable Bauer stick I have ever used. |
Very light and great durability. My first one lasted a few seasons and I expect this one to as well. |
Great stick, very good feel for the puck. Shooting feels crisp. |

Took one slap shot and the blade broke clean off where it meets the shaft! |
Not a fan of the super low kick point. |
As a beginner I find this stick hard to handle. |
The Hyperlite 2 has all the newest technologies and the lowest kick point. It's the biggest, the badest, the newest, and the flashiest. Bauer has made efforts to address durability concerns from the original Hyperlite. The DURAFLEX Resin System seems to have improved the stick's longevity without adding significant weight. I love the puck feel with this stick. The shaft's texture provides a good grip without being overly tacky, and the blade offers consistent feedback, allowing for puck awareness without looking down.
