Salesman’s sample Nike Bauer Vapor XXX (+Vapor XXXLite shaft +Lite Taper). This would have traveled with a Bauer sales rep to their Junior/NCAA teams to help with ordering specs for the season. Bauer Customer Support was wholly unhelpful with any further details, but it is similar to demo sticks from that era. Despite that, I’ve only seen one other like it; back then, Bauer demo sticks overwhelmingly had full graphics. The shaft identifies it as a Vapor XXX but adds “XXXLite Shaft” and “Lite Taper,” so take that as you will. It has no traditional grip; a glossy clear coat feel covers the whole shaft. It’s pretty rare to see such a low flex from the early 2000s era of Senior sticks. Stick has a handful of scrapes, but nothing serious, and blade is rock solid. I’ve not taken it on the ice, yet, though. Happy to tool around with it while coaching or on the ODR if you’re curious. Feel welcome to ask questions.
