This is a pro stock stick form Minnesota Wild player Jared Spurgeon. It is a Warrior Alpha LX Pro dressed as a Covert QR5. Measured nearly 62" flat against the wall. I used it as a backup stick and put it in play for maybe 9 periods of beer league in total. I love the weight, feel, and everything about the stick but I just can't handle this wicked toe curve. The Alpha LX Pro uses the saber taper, a fixture of Warrior's low kickpoint sticks. Saber taper is a longer, more aggressive taper from the hosel down to the blade versus your traditional stick, which starts to taper pretty low. The Warrior taper starts a bit higher to give more movement into that low kickpoint stick. Also, Warrior has used minimus carbon construction for a very long time and their sticks are super light and strong.
