Normal wear and tear, but the boots are plenty stiff. Please look at pics to see the condition of the liner, the tongues, etc. Always aired out after each time on the ice and the inserts were always washed. These skates do NOT stink.
These would make a great pair of skates for someone just starting to play or for someone that is looking to install in-line blades on them.
