Bought these brand new for my son roughly ~1 year ago. His feet *were* 7.5 men's (so, size 6 skate). His feet are now 9.5 men's, and rather obviously, the size 6 skates no longer fit. At all.
Beyond that, they're nearly new. These were a second pair of skates for him to 'public skate and otherwise' hack-around in. Baked once, worn maybe 7-8 times. Well taken care of. Standard radius on the steel. Original CCM footbed.I replaced the original laces with semi-waxed, which OI prefer waaay more than full wax, or the standard laces. Laces will come with the skates. There are virtually no niicks, scuffs or any other sign of wear on the skates, so I'd really say "nearly new", because they are.
Some personal notes: I grew up in Canada playing on CCM skates - Tacks (up through junior A in Canada, DI NCAA in US college), and when I returned to the game a few years back, I was appaled at what had happened to CCM skates (well, all modern skates, actually). Most modern skates are as stiff as ski boots, which is beyond silly. Without decent ankle flex, you don't learn how to skate properly 9R.G. Orr, pers. comm). The most flexible skates I've tried myself are Mako II (which I have), and Graf (which I almost bought). Both now defunct. But the Ribcor are pretty danged close to what I think is the right skate, especially for this size, since size 6 probably translates to kid 11-14 years of age, and <140 pounds. At which point, putting him into a Tack or JetSpeed is silly. Ribcor has decent flex, is vomfortable, and hasn't done Sid Crosby any harm. The 64K is a good skate - perfect to wear for a year or two until they grow out of it.
Quick aside: I work right next to a post office, so will ship in <24 ours once the transaction is complete.
