New Youth CCM Fitlite 3DS Navy Helmet - Junior

The CCM FitLite 3DS junior ice hockey helmet combo is the perfect helmet for the young hockey phenom aged 7 to 11 years. The pro specs and variety of child-specific adjustments mean parents will be able to create the perfect-fitting helmet for their young star. And since some of the adjustments are small sized, young skaters can also learn to take responsibility for making sure their gear fits to their liking (with parental supervision.) Tool-less adjustment system for easy-to-use fit personalization Child-specific cage adjustments for growing kids Clip strap for easier use than traditional snap Multi-density interior foams for protection and comfort Rear-located D3O foam for superior back-of-the-head protection CCM youth cage for excellent protection, adjustability, and on-ice vision Quick-snap cage straps for easy, secure comfort Just like the adult version used in the NHL, the 3DS junior helmet features a two-piece shell construction with a tool-less fit-adjustment system. The dual side locks release for a personalized front-to-back fit. The cage also boasts two child-specific adjustments that change how it fits to the helmet. This is useful, of course, because as kids grow, so do their faces. The 3DS junior combo adapts to that growth. Simply slide the center top lock to adjust the cage height, and further customize the fit with the J-clip adjustments on either side of the helmet. The helmet strap also features a clip lock rather than the traditional snap—easier for both parents and the child to use but as safe and secure as the traditional snap it replaces. All these adjustment features give parents a lot of control over how the helmet protects their child both now and as the child grows. The 3DS liner is built specifically for young players. Parents will find thick EVA foams throughout the whole interior. The EVA is dual density, with the yellow base foam being the denser of the two. The top layer is also thick, but it’s softer and designed for comfort. The 3DS junior helmet also features CCM’s D3O Smart Foam technology. D3O foam is one of the most protective materials CCM uses in any of its protection equipment—including the adult 3DS helmet. D3O foam is rate sensitive, meaning its stiffness increases with the intensity of an impact. With the D3O foam’s rear positioning, this child-specific helmet is perfect for young players still prone to falling backward and smacking the back of their head on the ice. Parents can feel better knowing their kid’s helmet provides premium back-of-the-head protection.
