ARIZONA COYOTES Jon Gillies unused Vaughn Velocity V9 chest and arm protector (custom made)

This is an unused chest and arm protector that was made for goalie Jon Gillies at some point in his hockey career. He was briefly with the Arizona Coyotes organization in 2022-23 when he played for the AHL's Tucson Roadrunners and had a 5-8-2 record in 15 games. The Vaughn Velocity V9 chest and arm protector was custom-made for Gillies and there is no size tag. It looks like it at least a size large since Gillies is 6-foot-6 and weighs 223 pounds. It has GILLIES embroidered on the front padding. Gillies led Providence College to the program's 1st NCAA title in 2015 when the Friars beat Boston University at TD Garden in Boston. He was a 3rd-round draft pick of Calgary in 2012 and has had brief NHL stops with the Flames, Blues, Devils and Blue Jackets from 2012-23. The protector was obtained directly from the Coyotes in a recent bulk equipment buy.
