I used this chesty in ball hockey for 2 or so years. Faced guys with almost 100mph shots and didn't get any stingers. I did feel stingers on the arms in roller however. I am 5'8" with a beer belly and it fit fine for ball hockey. Still has plenty of life if used for youth hockey. Any questions, just ask.
