Riedell Bronze (retail $700) (From the website) The Bronze Star provides suitable support for double and triple jumps, with the advantages of leather materials that mold to the skater’s foot providing an exceptionally perfect fit. Designed for competitive skating, Bronze Star is for skaters looking for great performance, and the best possible ergonomics and fit while proceeding on their path towards high-level skating. Inside the Bronze Star, 4 layer reinforcements provide firm support and are heat-moldable for the perfect fit. The firm support is balanced with the comfort of EVA memory foam ankle padding covered with moisture-wicking microfiber Strada lining. The leather soles and midsoles provide a solid foot foundation and durability. Bronze Star is a perfect boot for a wide range of skaters: you can learn your doubles and even triples with this boot, depending on the skater's size and preference of support. It is also a very popular boot for adult skaters. (From Me:) I upgraded to a stiffer boot now that Iʻve advanced in jumps and need more support. If you are a beginner skater who wants to jump up to a better boot, but are not ready for the high price point models, this is a great way to start. I trained in them for six months, skating three times a week, up to all single jumps. Theyʻre supportive enough to grow with you skills as you learn, but soft enough to let your muscles build up to more challenging moves. Great transition boot. Coronation Ace blade (9.75) 7ʻ rocker (Retail $300) (from the website) Celebrated as the world’s best-selling freestyle blade, the John Wilson Coronation Ace is the trusted choice for skaters making their first strides into advanced technique. Forged with the same dedication to quality and precision as our elite-level models, the Coronation Ace features a precision cross-cut toe pick and a subtle rocker profile—offering skaters superior bite on takeoffs and smooth transitions on landings. Its balanced design makes it ideal for mastering single and double jumps, building confidence with every glide, and developing the foundation for a champion’s future. (From me) This is a great step-up blade for beginner/novice skaters. It will do wonders for your spins! Iʻve advanced to a different blade, so the Ace doesnʻt work for me anymore. I only skated in them a few times and theyʻve only been sharpened once, so youʻll get a lot out of them! These are a very popular model among recreational skaters looking to advance their skills in spins, jumps and footwork. I recommend checking the John Wilson website for more details about these blades. They have some great detail that will help you decide if theyʻre a good fit for you. Buyer pays shipping
