This bat comes with a great story! When my son was making the transition from USSSA to BBCOR (13 years old) I bought him the 32" version of Mako Beast BBCOR, and never regretted it. I was trying to figure out what the best swing weight was for him at this important stage and bought several bats, new and used, to see which one rose to the top. He had been swinging an Easton Hype Fire 32" drop 5 in his previous year. We also bought a Marrucci CatX 1-piece and Connect, Warstic Bonesaber Hybrid, and LS Atlas. And you know what happened? His two favorite bats ended up being the Easton Mako Beast and the Atlas, which he used interchangeably depending on the situation. The Mako ended up being his contact hitters bat when he needed a single, no matter what. He raked with it! And so did several of his teammates. He says it's smooth like butter and has a nice balanced swing which was important for building his confidence with the higher velo pitching in middle school. He loved that bat so much, he had me get him a 33" version for his freshman year along with another Atlas (32.5") and a Rawlings Icon (32") to try out. He also had me get another 34" Mako for later in high school, just in case! Well, as a freshman, two more bats rose to the top, the Mako Beast 33" and the Rawlings Icon 32", go figure. Now he's moved on to the 34" Mako and a 33" Icon (he's grown quite a bit). I paid $50 - 60$ + shipping for each of the Makos. What a steal! Passing the same value onto you and your player. I doubt you'll be disappointed.
