The 2025 Rawlings Icon Composite bat is a USSSA-certified, -8 drop model with a 31-inch length and 23-ounce weight. Its 2 3/4-inch barrel and composite construction offer a balanced feel and a larger sweet spot for consistent contact. Designed for kid pitch leagues, this bat meets USSSA regulations to ensure eligibility for competitive play. The composite material contributes to a lighter swing weight and promotes durability while reducing vibration. The bat is used, so expect typical wear consistent with previously owned equipment. It has the typical “spider webbing” in the barrel composite bats show over time (all surface and no structural cracks). There also is a loose piece of composite material that “rattles”. The connection is tight with no wobble. The bat has some life left in it, is HOT and has been a great bat for my son.

The ICON is very hot and much more reliable than the hype fire. The bat needs a little break in but once that’s done you don’t have to worry about cracking or fractures. My son loves his, and we are totally sold on the ICON.
