This Rawlings Gold Glove Elite 12" first base mitt is designed with premium steer-hide leather that offers a softer break-in period while maintaining durable shape retention. The H-web construction provides a secure pocket to catch and scoop throws, ideal for first basemen who need reliable control on pick-off attempts and quick transfers. This model is built for right-hand throwers and sized at 12 inches, offering a balance of reach and maneuverability. The glove is used but maintains functional integrity suitable for regular play. This mitt is a good fit for youth players ages 9 to 13 in the kid pitch stage, especially those solidifying their role at first base. The 12" size helps manage ball control without sacrificing quickness, aiding developing players as they work on footwork and glove mechanics specific to the position. Its durable leather suits kids ready for consistent game use while still allowing for comfortable handling.

Perfect glove for:

Recreational and high school fielders at any position who want a game-ready glove, not a project.

The Rawlings Gold Glove Elite is a leather baseball glove with a reinforced palm pad. That pad sits under the pocket and manages shock when a ball arrives. Patterns cover every position, from youth infield gloves to first base mitts. It suits recreational and high school fielders who want a glove without a project. Rawlings has discontinued the series, so the used market carries it now.
