* baseballs in photos are for sizing purposes only This is an absolute tank of a catcher's mitt from Wilson’s heavy-duty era. It’s an early 1990s A2500 pattern, crafted during the highly regarded Made in Korea (MIK) manufacturing window. If you know Wilson history, the A2500 was the absolute pinnacle of their catcher's lineup, built with a thick, unforgiving steerhide perimeter designed to handle actual heat. This mitt is in excellent condition and shows very light use. The leather is stiff, clean, and completely free of the typical inner palm or hand-stall rot you usually find on 30-year-old gear. It has been professionally cleaned and conditioned to keep the leather healthy. The original factory laces have been tested and all come out looking great, this glove was stored in a climate-controlled environment so I didn't need to re-lace with modern replacements. Who This Is For & How It Plays - The High School / Adult League Catcher: If you are catching guys throwing real velocity, you need a mitt that won't cave in or leave your hand bruised. This A2500 provides massive palm protection and an incredibly loud, crisp "pop" that pitchers love to hear. - The Bullpen / Travel Ball Coach: Perfect for coaches catching heavy bullpen sessions who want elite, pro-level protection without dropping $400 on a modern stiff mitt that will take months of hand cramps to break in.
