Spalding RH Rico Petrocelli 42-957 Vintage Baseball Glove 12" (Used)

As far as I can tell, this glove is from the late-1960s or early-1970s when Rico Petrocelli played shortstop and 3B for the Boston Red Sox, most notably as part of the 1967 Impossible Dream season. This glove was in BAD shape when I got it. It was covered in some kind of grease and took a bunch of rounds of cleaning to get the funk off, but once I did I discovered this thing is a beauty. It's got a unique lacing pattern with nine Xs on the back but none showing on the inside of the pocket. The thumb and pinky loops are original and in good shape, and the glove is totally usable for play. It took leather cleaner, conditioner, salve, oil, and some new black Rawlings laces, but she's good to go. Own a little piece of baseball history and have the most unique glove on the field!
