When you trade in your old sports and outdoor gear at a SidelineSwap Trade-in Event, you earn credit towards a new purchase while helping keep more gear on playing fields and out of landfills.

We accept most sports and outdoor gear in good working condition that was originally purchased within the last 5 years with an original retail value over $100. Accepted categories include baseball and softball, lacrosse, hockey, golf, ski and snowboard, football, racquet sports, and more.

We do not accept damaged or heavily worn products, items purchased more than 5 years ago, knock-off or counterfeit products, large equipment (bikes, kayaks, treadmills, free weights, etc.), or items with an original retail value under $100.

Trade-in values are based on real resale market data from SidelineSwap. Pricing is determined dynamically using factors such as seasonality, market demand, age, and item condition.

Once you accept your offer, you'll receive payment on the spot via an e-gift card. Payment options may vary by partner and event location, so please check your specific event details for available payment methods.

No reservations or sign-ups are required. Just bring the gear you wish to be evaluated during event hours. You do not need the original receipt, original packaging, an online listing, or a reservation confirmation.

No. As long as your gear meets our condition guidelines, it does not matter where it was originally purchased.

Most evaluations take just a few minutes per item. Timing may vary depending on the number of items, event traffic, and gear complexity. If the event is busy, a SidelineSwap associate will provide an estimated timeframe at check-in.
