This pair of 167cm Atomic Backland 107 W Skis with Marker Kingpin 13 Bindings and Black Diamond Glidelite Skins is ready for anything. I don’t love the term “quiver killer” but if I was going somewhere to do some kind of skiing and had no idea what, this would be the pair I’d put in my bag. At 107 underfoot and with the beveled HRZN tip, I’ve loved them in bottomless pow, and with camber underfoot and impressive torsional rigidity, they rip spring corn and even firm groomers. They’re actually really good in bumps too! And at 1375g/ski, they’re light enough to tour all day. Oh, and they’ve been treated with DPS Phantom so they’ll glide forever with no need to wax! The Kingpin 13 gives you a tech toe on the ascent but an alpine heel with both forward and downward pressure for the descent for superb power transfer. Match that with Black Diamond Glidelite mohair mix skins that strike the perfect balance of grip and glide with excellent packability. This is such a great setup. The only reason I’m selling it at all is that I’m doing more and longer tours and want a slightly lighter binding and the hole patterns conflict - I actually just rebought the same ski! These have been mounted once for a BSL of 273mm. FYI, other than the top sheet, they haven’t changed this ski in years because it’s so darn good! See for yourself how good it is!
