“Excellent condition.” This auction is for a nice pair of Line Sir Francis Bacon Downhill Skis. They are 184 cm. in length. These skis are in excellent condition. The top sheets are nice, the edges are sharp, and the bases are smooth. They just had a $70 professional, precise tune on a half million dollar ski tuning machine. They were only drilled once and the holes have been professionally plugged. These are super fun and literally phenomenal skis. They have great pop and are so fun in all conditions, all over the mountain. They are buttery but still stiff enough for hard charging and stomping big cliffs on the big mountain. Through the years, Eric Pollard has changed everything about the Line Sir Francis Bacon skis. He has changed the shape, flex, materials, top sheets etc. and the result is that I do not like the stiffer, skinnier newer versions with way less exciting graphics. On the other hand, this version has perfect, soft flex, radtite graphics and perfect shape for slaying the powder / all-mountain ripping. These skis are very rare and hard to find. Length: 184 cm. Tip Width: 140 mm. Waist Width: 108 mm. Tail Width: 136 mm. Line Skis The culmination of the last 13 years of rigorous design and testing has led to one the most versatile skis ever created. Eric Pollard has completely redesigned the Line Sir Francis Bacon Skis to have the perfect blend of flex, width, and shape. With a refined construction and geometry, the new Sir Francis Bacon has an even better float and feels smooth and solid everywhere on the mountain, proving once again that Bacon goes well on everything. Product Details Shape Early Rise Tip & Tail: the Line Skis Sir Francis Bacon Skis have 20cm x 10mm rise that starts earlier so the tips rise effortlessly out of powder and stay on top without needing to sit back. Early Taper Tip & Tail: the widest point of the sidecut starts tapering earlier in the tip and tail to reduce hooking in powder and tail drag. G-Cut Geometry is a 5-radius sidecut with the tightest radius in the tail for powerful, predictable exits and less unwanted tip hooking. Construction Sidewall construction consists of ABS plastic walls over the edges to absorb impact and vibrations for a solid, smooth feel. Thin Tip super thin core and sidewall in the tips and tails is 50g lighter per ski for reduced swing weight. Sintered Fatty Base & Edge are extremely durable and impact resistant Flex Maple Macroblock Core is made from the widest and highest quality Maple laminates for long lasting camber and energy. This 100% tip to tail wood core is the lightest, most durable in the universe. Symmetric Flex has the same ski flex in front and behind your boot for the same feel riding forward or backwards.
