Are you looking for a very, very quick turning ski that feels almost like a slalom ski but is more forgiving? Something you can ski all day and still rip turns on? Or use in a Nastar course? Or slice and dice on fresh cord? This is the ski. I bought it to use in super tight Nastar courses but it is just too short for me (I normally ski a 175-185). I am a big guy and, even with the length, it took everything I gave it. But my normal race skis were faster for me. Race tuned (0.75 base bevel, 3 side bevel) and used one partial day. Features a fantastic SRT12 binding with race plate. Super fun ski on hardpack. New $1,700. Review: Developed with the preferences of decorated World Cup athletes in mind, the Stockli Laser WRT ST combines the power of a GS ski with the celerity of a Slalom ski for ultimate on-piste performance. laying over the wood core in the tip of this ski is Stockli's Carbon Steering Control which is a carbon laminate that adds stability, precision and vibration damping to the ski for increased precision and control through a turn. A slightly wider than average shovel in the tip of the ski provides a very generous and elongated side cut for unwavering edge hold no matter what type of turn shape you want to make. These skis really allow you to dictate your turn shape and switch it up instantaneously thanks to the medium-quick radius featured by the combination of the ski's sidecut and flex. At 66 millimeters under the boot, this ski is most at home on firm, groomed slopes. It won't really do much else all that well, but isn't deigned to. It is designed to provide race-like performance for aggressive skiers who want precision, stability, energy and edge hold out of their carving skis. For those beer league enthusiasts out there, the Laser WRT would be a phenomenal choice as it would suit the somewhat tighter gate sets often found in a beer league course. Not only will this ski turn heads based on looks alone, but it's sure to turn heads when you're laying it over on edge, dragging your hip across that fresh corduroy.
