Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid. Oversized Sidecut: This sidecut design from Rossignol is an exaggerated parabola that makes turning easier and more stable. All skis nowadays are 'shaped,' but these are 'very shaped,' you could say. Auto Turn Rocker: Rossignol's Auto Turn rocker profile is 70% flat camber, and 30% early rise, which means that these skis are going to hold an edge strong, and should be skied mostly on hardpack--but with the raised tips, plowing through crud and powder is definitely do-able. Titanal sheets: A unique blend of titanium and aluminum that gives extra strength and stiffness to the skis without adding too much weight. Skis with Titanal sheets are typically reserved for advanced to experts, because they require more speed or strength to flex them properly. Minicap Sandwich Laminate: This type of constructions is sort of a cross between a sidewall and cap construction. The cap construction maximizes the durability of the ski while sandwich sidewall increases precision and edge control while skiing. Rossignol Prop Tech: Developed in response to the new FIS turn radius regulations, Prop Tech is a transversal ski flex release system. Vertically machined slots in the metal laminate provide more adaptive torsional flex for increased control, smoother turn initiation, superior power transfer, and improved edge contact. Metal Tip Protectors: These skis have rugged tip protectors made of metal that will help fight against chipping and damage to the tips, which is both a performance and cosmetic benefit.
