Building on the name, Atomic releases a new generation of Backlands. The narrower Atomic Backland 102 is more agile, shaves some weight, while giving you enough of a platform to stay stable when skiing corn in the spring, powder in the winter, or some tracked up snow at the popular trailheads. The 102mm waist is quick to roll over on edge for stability when riding on firm snow, and the directional shape encourages strong edge hold despite the decent rocker. Atomic updated a few key things with this new Backland 102. All the freeride Backlands get a redesigned HRZN 3D tech in tip, which is beveled along the edges for increased float, and has slits cut out to lower the swing weight.
