A torsionally soft tip reduces stiffness by 60%, allowing young skiers to initiate their turns with far less energy. An increase in tip reactivity and a decrease in athlete exertion make this softer slalom tip a highly beneficial feature for intuitive and efficient performance. The Racetiger SL R’s construction remains pretty standard for a race ski, with the same tip rocker, full sidewall, wood core, and full titanal layer as its GS counterpart. What sets the Racetiger SL R apart from other race skis is its unique ability to grow with every athlete. As the length of the ski gets longer, the thickness of the titanal and the ratio of the wood also increases, creating a ski that performs at the same level as the skier.
