Burly, badass, and built to charge! These are K2’s top-of-the-line all-mountain freeride boots featuring their stiffest and highest performing Powerlite shell, and their highest-density Powerfit Pro liner. With only 24 days on mtn, these boots have hundreds of miles of vert left in them! HIGHLIGHTS & SPECS: • Flex: 140 | Mondo 25.5 | BSL: 294 | Last: 98 • Weight: ~3.5 lbs (1,600g) per boot, noticeably lighter than standard 4lb+ boots w/out sacrificing power • Binding Compatibility: Alpine/Gripwalk/Hybrid-Tech binding compatible. Currently mounted with Alpine soles • INCLUDES BRAND NEW GripWalk soles + screws • Integrated Tech Toe Fitting: Tech fittings in the toe are fully integrated into the shell injection, allowing for compatibility with both tech and DIN (normal) bindings (never used, pin holes are fresh) • Fully Heat-Moldable: Both the boot's shell and cuff are capable of being heat molded to a variety of foot shapes for a truly custom fit. HAS NOT BEEN HEAT MOLDED OR PUNCHED • Powerfit Pro Liner: Pre-molded and lasted with Ultralon heat-moldable foam. Featuring a stiffer foam and a stiff, asymmetric tongue for added power and energy transmission, pre-molded ankle pockets, and a high-density power collar. • Powerlite Shell: K2's highest performance shell design, utilizing shell walls of varying thickness and four different types of TPU to provide the ultimate combination of light weight and responsiveness. • Pebax Cuff: Lightweight, eco-friendly material used in the cuff of select boot models for energetic and consistent flex across a wide range of temperatures. • Energy Interlock: A rivet-free technology that integrates the cuff and shell, putting less stress on the boot's lower shell and producing a smooth, progressive flex. • Powerfuse Spyne: A co-injected Y-shaped support in the rear of the boot that adds strength and power to the Energy Interlock in order to maximize fore/aft flex efficiency and lateral stiffness, providing enhanced responsiveness and energy transfer to the ski. • Cam Booster Strap: Booster Straps provide maximum ski boot performance, increased control and shin protecting shock-absorption. CONDITION & USE: • Total Days: 24 resort days over 2 seasons (16 days in '24/'25, and 8 light groomer days last season since no snow). • Shells show normal cosmetic scuffs/dings from tree runs and ski chatter but structural integrity is 100%. • NOTE ON REAR LINER LOOPS: The pull loops on the back of both liners snapped (cold stiff boots are tough to get on). This is common and the liners themselves and front pull loops are good. I remember when boots didn't have pull loops lol. If you're looking for a downhill-oriented boot that you can use with zero compromise in the resort, and also on short skinners in the vicinity, there's no option better than the Recon Team.
