The STX Stallion 1K Lacrosse Head is at the forefront of the brand's elite midfield lineup. Building on the success of the original Stallion, designed by NCAA champion Kyle Harrison, the 1K boasts several improvements for the modern game. EnduraForm™ material enhances durability and stiffness, while the Speed Scoop™ facilitates easier ground ball pickups from any angle. The head also features a deeper legal offset, which is said to improve ball feel and retention.
The Stallion 1K is the top midfielder head for sure. It's based on the original Stallion design that pro player Kyle Harrison used and designed for that two-way midfielder. The 1K has an improved stiffness, shape retention, and an updated scoop. PLL rookie, Nick Nakeie Montgomery, who ranked 28th in Duke history in career points, also uses this head. I like this head because it can be used both on the offensive side of midfield and the defensive side. It weighs in at about 4.7 oz, making it lighter than the current ECD DNA 2.0, StringKing Mark 2V, and Mark 2T.
