The Epoch Hawk Sequel is an upgraded version of the already popular Hawk lacrosse head released back in 2014. Designed for maximum speed, power and control, the Sequel is preferred most by players who seek a mid-high pocket for a quick release. The laid-back profile and lowered scoop are a feature that offer superior ball control while cradling and an optimal quick release point when passing or shooting. The Epoch Hawk Sequel is manufactured with a proprietary blend of materials utilizing composite injected polymer for maximized stiffness and flexibility properties. Epoch’s Flex iQ technology indicates the stiffness (iQ1) and flexibility (iQ10) of the head. The Epoch Hawk Sequel is classified as an iQ3, which means it’s a pretty stiff head but still has a little flexibility. The Sequel’s innovative design and state-of-the art construction is matched by its superior performance and functionality.
The Epoch Hawk Sequel head is one of the most versatile heads in lacrosse as it uses material that provides both flexibility and stiffness. Offensive players love the stiffness of the head because it helps them sting corners with a narrow throat and wide scoop, which helps to maximize ball control while creating a smooth release from the top of the channel. With the design, this head is perfect for a mid-high pocket to improve accuracy and power with a great offset to increase pocket depth near the top of the head. The head also has extra sidewall holes which allow players to customize their pockets to their style of play perfectly. FOGOs love the combination of stiffness and flexibility because it helps the head retain its shape after a long battle at the X. The stiffness at the top helps them efficiently scoop ground balls while the flexibility helps the head bend around the ball to obtain a clamp over a larger portion of the ball. The Epoch Hawk Sequel is a universally legal head perfect for players looking to spark quick offense and dominate possessions against the best defenses.
