The STX Stallion U 550 features an enhanced and updated throat design to provide more strength and durability than the original version. Built with several key upgrades, this head is favored by many due to its lightweight nature, durability, strength, and stringability. The Stallion U 550 is 5% lighter than the original NFHS model, but offers the same level of performance. C-Channel Technology helps to increase the strength of the head by distributing stress evenly along the bottom rail during face-offs, when scooping up ground balls, and during hard checks. Designed for the offensive and defensive midfielder and featuring a mid to high-pocket, the Stallion U 550 is both NFHS and NCAA legal.
The STX Stallion U 550 is perfectly designed for two-way midfielders who love to run and gun. Players love the bottom rail design that helps generate extra power in high pockets to increase shot speed. This head also has exceptional ground ball capabilities. The head has a flat scoop with an updated throat designed to quickly transition the ball from the turf to the center of the pocket. This allows midfielders to spark quick transition offense after locking down elite scores while on defense. Players also love the open sidewall that allows for flexibility on checks and ground balls, while also making the head lighter to increase shot speed and accuracy. This head is universally legal and ideal for offensive and defensive midfielders looking to make a huge impact on their team.
