This performance-level skate is perfect for developing skaters and those who play at a more recreational level but want more tech and better performance in their skates. Tech of note includes a Digi Comp boot, 30oz pro stock felt tongue, and die-cut EVA foam footbed. Skate Fit Profile The Elite Senior skate comes in sizes 7-10 Full and Half sizes and D and EE widths. For larger feet, the Senior variation also comes in sizes 10.5-12 in D width. D size is more of a standard width, whereas EE fits a bit wider for larger feet. When deciding on a skate size, a good rule of thumb is to take the player’s shoe size and drop it by 1 or 1.5 sizes. Boot Construction & Stiffness Profile The Digi Comp boot keeps the skates’ performance competitive without making it too stiff and difficult to skate in. For a more comfortable feel when turning, the Elite skate includes a comfort edge along both sides above the ankle. Although the Elite skate is designed to be a bit more flexible to accommodate a wider range of skaters, Supreme family skates are classified as stiffer than Vapor family skates. Tongue The tongue is made of an updated 30oz pro stock felt material with a mesh metatarsal guard. This combination of comfort and protection is designed to form fit around and over the metatarsus area for extra coverage, and the thick felt coupled with the tough exterior help shield the front ankle area of your foot from harm while you play. Insoles The footbed is made of die-cut EVA foam, which is a common cushioning foam found in most athletic shoes. The choice to use this foam increases comfort in the boot by adding a more familiar feel to the sole. Lacing System The Elite uses a standard flex facing lace system along the eyelets with improved durability and reliability in the materials used. Steel Runner, Holder & Blade Profile To hold the blade in place, the Supreme Elite skate employs a TUUK Lightspeed Edge holder, which is the same as it was in the previous highest-end Supreme Ultrasonic skates. For steel, the Elite uses LS+ steel. Graphics Keeping to the classic theme of the Supreme line, the Elite is mainly coloured black with a bit of shine and yellow graphics and accents. “Elite” and the new Bauer logo are also on display above the ankles and heel.
