The Jetspeed FT370 comes with the SpeedBlade 4.0 holder—the same holder on the top-line FT1 skate. This year’s SpeedBlade is 4mm taller in both posts for an even more aggressive turning radius. The unique geometric holder design provides triangular strength and stability, reducing torquing and improving the energy transfer in each stride. The Jetspeed FT370 comes with CCM’s SpeedBlade runners.
The runners join to an injected, reinforced, and vented outsole. The reinforcement provides additional rigidity and stiffness for more power in the stride. The bottom vent allows moisture to escape for a drier feel during the game and a shorter dry-time afterwards.
The quarter package comes in a very stiff, Elite RocketFrame Composite material with CCM’s signature SpeedCore I. The SpeedCore I is the backbone of the quarter package, and the composite unites it all; it’s very responsive to the heat-molding process, resulting in a comfortable, personalized fit after baking. And the RocketFrame Composite construction delivers high-performance stiffness, optimizing stride-energy transfers.
The FT370 comes with a 7mm, reinforced, two-piece, embossed, white felt tongue. The tongue thickness provides a true pro-styled fit and feel, while the embossed lace-bite guard and center-injected foams offer excellent protection against stray pucks, slashes, and lace bite.
The FT370 interior liner includes Smooth Contour boot collars designed to alleviate high-ankle abrasions—useful in a stiff boot. The liner also features CCM’s DuraZone abrasion patches at the top of the quarter package—useful for players who wear shin guards beneath their tongue, because it extends the liner’s life. The rest of the liner is a heavy-duty microfiber that’s soft to the touch but also excellent for wicking away any moisture not released through the bottom vent. The liner has a grippy texture so the player’s feet will stay locked in, with the help of the multi-density memory foam ankle pads, thus helping to produce maximum stride power.
The FT370, like all Jetspeed skates, is a medium-volume skate, but its fit shades tighter in the heel and forefoot. Though the instep comes in standard medium-volume dimensions, the aggressive heel lock and tapered toe make the Jetspeed a smart choice for players with in-between-sized feet.
