These skates are ideal for a low profile feel with a shallow heel pocket, low instep and min ankle wrap. The 2017 Bauer Vapor X500 skates feature a Reinforced Trueform tech PU quarter package with X-rib pattern. This quarter package provides a good level of protection and durability. The Hydrophobic microfiber liner helps to keep the players feet dry in the skate and the one piece injected heel and ankle core provides additional stability help keep your foot in place. The anaform foam ankle pads provide comfort for the ankle areas and provide some stability. This skate has an anatomical 40oz 2-piece felt tongue with high density foam metatarsal padding which provides good protection on the ice. The upper portion of this skate is fully thermoformable and can be molded at any Pro Hockey Life location. The outsole of the 2017 Bauer Vapor X500 skate is a clear injected TPU for performance and durability. This skate has TUUK super stainless steel runners which and fit seamlessly into the TUUK Lightspeed edge holders
