The CCM Super Tacks ice hockey skates are the product of over five years of R&D by CCM, and their partner the University of Calgary. In an effort to study the bio-mechanics of hockey specific movements they brought the lab to the rink to uncover the most accurate, real-time data available to decode what most influences the performance of a skate.CCM & the University of Calgary examined where the most pressure was applied in the skate and when it happened throughout the course of your stride. The goal was to profile your foot's anatomical strengths and weakness and turn that data into the most supportive skate possible.
MonoFrame 360 Technology
We'd like you to meet the fruits of their efforts CCM's DNA Molded Fit: MonoFrame 360. The first fully heat-moldable, full composite, one-piece boot. Free from the limitations of out-soles, the weight of excess materials, and the inefficiencies associated with transitioning energy through multiple surfaces and materials. The single-piece construction and anatomical design in the Super Tacks ice skates maximize contact area on the players foot, optimizing force and enabling for the most responsive feel yet.
Heat Moldable T-Form Core
The secret to the super-stiff moldable composite boot of the Super Tacks skates, is CCM's T-Form Core. Running throughout the entire body of the boot, T-Form allows for an incredibly thorough heat mold. It's nicely complimented by a multi-density array of padding in the ankle of the boot, formed around CCM's new asymmetrical anatomic ankle it provides unreal heel lock even just out of the box.
TotalDri Liner and ADV Tongue
In an effort to keep the Super Tacks ice skates as light as possible, CCM's TotalDri liner utilizes an elite moisture management system that helps to minimize absorption. CCM also added comfort and durability features to the liner of the Super Tacks ice skates, with abrasion resistant patches in high traffic areas, and a """"smooth comfort pro"""" patch on the top of the boot to minimize irritation during big lateral movements. The Pro-level felt tongue on the Super Tacks has been redesigned to accept a more precise heat mold, further eliminating negative space and maximizing fit, it has even been augmented with injected lace bite protection to keep you locked in and as comfortable as possible.
Speedblade 4.0 and Speedblade Black
Finally, the familiar SPB 4.0 holder and Black Steel Runner return to provide world-class performance to your skate's one contact point with the ice. The 4.0 holder is designed with an aggressive height profile to allow players to getLOW when turning without bottoming out. The SB Black steel is a real star here, as the high quality steel is treated with a premium oxide process thatproduces harder, smoother, more corrosion resistant steel. That means a stronger edge, fewer sharps, and faster glide. Doesn't get much better than that, huh?
