Senior Used Easton Mako II Hockey Skates Size 7

These are truly outstanding skates. I’d still be happily using them if I did not have a significant foot injury that now requires custom boots. I wore them for about a year before the off-ice injury. The boot is very stiff but still surprisingly comfortable. The skate features an outstanding heel lock (you literally hear your heel lock into place as). The holder is Easton’s CXN, forward-pitched design, keeping you in aggressive skating position. The steel, Easton’s top-of-the-line ES4, still has a ton of life left. From a performance standpoint, I’ve never worn a skate that helped me improve as much as this pair. The stiffness and the pitch forced me to discard some of my sloppier skating habits and it improved my game. I’ve added Superfeet insoles for additional comfort and feel. These skates HAVE been heat-molded one time - but Easton reps insisted these skates could be molded 4-6 times before any of the materials would begin to break down (unlike some of the older models that could only be heated 1-2x). Note that these are the Mako II model, not the original Mako that were known to give people skate bite and “Mako Bumps.” Those manufacturing imperfections were corrected when the Mako IIs were released.
