The 9060 is much more comfortable than last year’s skate, with an improved fit, better performance, and increased durability. The holders boast CCM’s SpeedRib technology, a unique construction that harnesses the power of triangles for better energy transfers through each stride, thanks to improved rigidity. The holder connects to an injected, concave outsole. Though an injected plastic, it’s very stiff and includes an exhaust vent that allows moisture and sweat to escape the boot for a dry on-ice feel and a reduced off-ice dry time. The 9060 still comes with a nylon midsole, but the MetaFrame technology is a big upgrade for a skate at this price point. The skate now offers a much better anatomical fit, and the SpeedCore I foam helps the skater enjoy an excellent off-the-shelf fit.
