Bauer Vapor Hyperlite 2 Hockey Skates Size 5/extra steel (Used)

A custom set of Hyperlite 2 skates in great shape. These have a set of CCM Tier 1 (stainless hardware) SpeedBlade XS holders installed for blade security, and comes with a second set of blades and skate guards. The blades are Flare Skate Blades. One set of DLC coated and one set of Stainless Steel. Both have a stock, 10' profile, neutral pitch. Blade size for the CCM holder is 247mm, whereas the Bauer holder was 246mm. There are a few normal scuffs, but nothing into the carbon fiber. The tendon guard is stiff and unbent. The only issue is that the black felt on the tongue has an area that is separated, just outside the stitching. That's unfortunately a normal thing with Hyperlites. You could cut it off and not even notice it. They could probably use a new set of laces. The player outgrew these after just 4 months of use. In the picture of the spare blades, you will see some tape toward the right side of the blade--that's just sock tape holding them together. Blades are in great shape.

There is not as much difference between the HyperLite and the HyperLite 2 as there was between the Hyperlite and the 2x Pro, but the 2 is really just a lighter skate. More comfort features have been added also, and there is a new locking mechanism. The HyperLite 2 still offers the quick release, but it's a different upgraded style, which makes it easier to switch the steel in and out. The holder itself is different and extremely lightweight.
