Hockey goalie compression padded pants

Brand new goalie compression pants. My son needed new ones and after some research, I wanted him to switch to padded ones specifically for goalies. (We are fairly new to the goalie world, and like the goalie cup, has had him wearing a lot of his skating stuff until we figure out there is more protective goalie stuff out there…sometimes to his detriment…sucks to not have a goalie store anywhere close.) To try to please his mom, he intended to wear them, took off the tags but then told me he took them off immediately after putting them on, knowing that he would not be comfortable in them with the extra padding. Pictures will show you I can’t return them. My son is conscious about hygiene and showers 1-2 times a day, but he did put them on for a minute. Why did he not keep the tags on before deciding?? I don’t know except he’s 14 and didn’t pay for them himself. Willing to negotiate a price. Original price $110.
