Used Vaughn Velocity V5 7270 Goalie Leg Pads Black 30"+1

Vaughn VELOCITY V5 7270 30" +1 Legs Please read description of pads below. I recently purchased these, but felt they were just a little narrow on me, as I'm a senior player. The height for me was great, (I'm 5' 4", to give you an idea of their size) but I measured the width, confirming that they are just about 10" wide. I have them listed as a junior pad, although some past descriptions of the pad list them as an intermediate. I'm not 100% certain if they are junior or intermediate, but the width tells me junior. The pads themselves are really nice! If they were 10.75" or 11", They would be staying here with me. I do a lot of repair work, as many goalies end up learning over the years. For these, I replaced the top nylon strap, and put on new clips. The stitching was done with leather thread. Extremely tough, as it's the only thread I use to stitch in new straps. The velcro on the knee stabilizers of each pad were frayed, so I replaced them with new velcro. Slight stich with special shoe repair glue. I've since road tested the pads in stick practice. So wish they were wider! I feel these pads would be best for the young, aspiring goalie. I'm also keeping the cost low, so parents can get their goaltender a set of pads without breaking the bank.
