Hi Goalies,
This is a pair of Cooper GP 59 vintage goalie leg pads.
Please see photos for condition of the pads.
(as you can see, they are well-worn)
Here is the back story on these...
Bought them a few years back and replaced most of the deer hair with foam for the inside core of the pads. On the back side of the pad, you can see the long stitch marks where they were opened up to do the replacement.
Replaced all the straps with black leather, including the knee strap with double break strap.
There was a good sized tear on the knee roll. I double enforced it. It's a little messy, but opted for stitching rather than a patch. (please see photo)
They are worn, and well used.
Once I fixed them, I wore them twice a week for one season. To give you an idea of their size, along with the tape meas. pics, I'm 5' 4".
although I listed them as senior size, these would be for a short goalie.
Having said that, I feel these pads are best for a display piece. Or, if you are a smaller goalie, something to wear for fun for pond hockey. They are classics and truly a vintage pad.
I'd keep them, but I truly don't have the room.
So, I'm pricing them to go.
