The pads are 22" and not 24" as listed. SidelineSwap does not have a category for 22". These are great youth goalie leg pads. They were worn for 1 season. All the straps work. We replaced with brand new toe ties. Most kids should be able to put these pads on by themselves. Here is a description of the pads. Specifically designed for the young goalie looking to get in the game and improve their basic form, the Bauer Prodigy 2.0 goal line makes learning to get dressed easy and simple as 1-2-3! Instructions for each step of dressing are printed on the pad, giving youth goalies a guide to putting their gear on themselves, making the Prodigy 2.0 gear possibly the best lines of gear for the young goaltender! The Prodigy 2.0 is oriented towards goalies getting their start in goal and achieves this with the use of a lightweight, soft core with a deep leg channel to keep the pad centered on the goalie’s leg. Taking note from Bauer’s senior and junior lines of goal pads, the knee lock is anchored using their proprietary Adjustable Knee Lock, allowing for constant adjustment as the player grows and effectively maximizing the size range of the pad. As mentioned, the goal pad uses instructions printed on the pad to teach the young goalie how to strap on their toe ties, for the occasion when mom or dad aren’t there to help. Step 1 at the toe laces uses extremely simple elastic and Velcro straps to anchor the pad to the skate. Step 2 offers a wide range of adjustability at the calf, featuring an easy elastic Velcro calf wrap to hug any leg tightly. The last step is another simple Velcro and elastic strap at the knee and the pad is fully strapped! It’s just that easy!
