A great feature for younger goalies. * Double break new pads are currently sold out in store due to production shortages. Pads were used by growing child. Puck marks were never cleaned from pad, indicating amount of usage. Pads are structurally sound and in great shape. Pads were maintained between each usage, and have no odor. Minor fabric wear in leg channel area and/or knee cradle area were knee pad velcro meets pad. While this is normal and minor wear for goalie pads, please see photos prior to purchasing. New goalie parents please read: Screws that are attached to toe strap can loosen up occasionally and over time. This is common for brand new pads as well as used. Most higher end pads are going to come with hardware attached, best to identify the male and female components(a couple screws and nuts / cents at hardware store), and keep some extra in your child’s bag, along with a screw driver. Youth pads tend to come with toe straps that are stitched on. This is adequate for small children, however for bigger kids - that area of the pad is a high stress area. If the stitching rips, your child likely cannot complete practice or a game and pad will need professionally repaired. Having screws securing this area of the pad allows any loosening to be a minor, one minute inconvenience as opposed to the above.
