Accessory Type Toe Ties, Knee Pads

Custom made Factory MAD goalie peg pads by Dennis Dombrowski. If you're here looking at goalie stuff, you most likely know all about these pads: very soft and torsionally flexible, no breaks but subtle curve, thick solid one-piece knee stacks, open knee cradle, adjustable and customizable, with the same core and knee stack design that Tim Thomas wore in the 2011 cup run. Jeff Glass wore them in Russia, and Michael Houser wore them throughout his AHL career. They are sort of a hybrid, more rigid Vaughn pad due to provenance but with tweaks and differences. I bought these from an Ontario Junior C player and had Dennis at Factory MAD shorten and partially rebuild them. For reference, they align exactly with my Brian's Subzero 33+1 pads. Because of the lace-grid system, you could adjust them to be a 34" if desired — look closely at picture 6 for the lace grid adjustment. You can see that the inside sliding surface, the top and bottom trim pieces, and all the calf wraps/knee block are newer than the front face and outer side roll (red). I think I paid about $500 to have the work done on top of purchase price. Well worth it! These pads are excellent for the butterfly-style goalie. They seal incredibly flat (see photo), they allow for a huge knee pad with the open knee cradle, and they slide really great too — very stable and anchored flat to the ice. The front is pillowy to deaden rebounds. Pro-level construction! I often wore these with an elastic "professor strap" and elastic toe ties to my liking, but I will include all of the original straps for you to fine tune. It comes with two leather boot straps and 4 leather knee-stack straps. To be honest, the double knee-stack straps are a bit much, but they look cool. Wear and tear as shown, only one repair to note, small cut on knee stack edge shown best in picture 4. The last picture shows a bit of rubbing on the outer roll Jenpro. These are great pads and I feel like I've only just "broken them in" at about 50 games or so. Selling because I don't have anywhere to store them as they are my second set. Happy to answer any questions.
